Drawing is Free will be part of the @drawing_correspondence
‘Circumnavigation’, a drawing symposium taking place at the National Maritime Museum Greenwich on the 11th March 2023.

Chloe will be thinking about drawing as a tool for learning in the context of the @royalmuseumsgreenwich and writing #drawingisfree prompts that will be a handout and free to download as part of the event.

We are joined by some incredible speakers to share reflections on historical and contemporary drawing practice. We will spend the day drawing around, through, and into some of the experiences and challenges we all collectively face.

The event is part of a season of events, Drawn Together, happening this spring at the museum  in association with their exhibition The Van Der Veldes: Greenwich Art & The Sea. There are amazing speakers and drawing session leaders - Imogen Tedbury, Tania Kovats, Emma Stibbon RA, Adam Dant, Charmaine Watkiss, Hondartza Fraga, and the SENsory Social Club & Saturday Art Club with a drawing by M. Lohrum being performed at the close of the day. Anita Taylor will chair the day of presentations, discussions and drawing sessions inspired by the exhibition, collections and presentations.

You can book a free place on the Royal Museum’s Grenwich website︎︎︎

The event will also be streamed on Zoom.
