Drawing is Free Ten Year Anniversary Exhibition
To celebrate ten years of Drawing is Free we organised an open exhibition of drawings made at our events, in Paris.

“You’re glowing there. Are you happy to pose?”
This year, 2023, marks a decade since artist and educator Chloe Briggs launched her live drawing workshop, Drawing is Free, in an empty classroom at Paris College of Art.
Claiming space and now two weekly hours of creative freedom, Drawing is Free has become a community and a way of working. Each pose lasts the length of a vocal track from Chloe’s playlist, crafted like a portrait of a moment.
Moving online at the start of the covid pandemic, Drawing is Free has thrived in its new online landscape, expanding around the world. Each session runs in English, but it’s the language of drawing that’s spoken and a belief in the human face that’s shared.
More than 100 works on paper have arrived in Paris for this anniversary show in PCA’s Atrium Gallery. On Friday June 2nd, we’ll celebrate with live workshops and an opening fête. And, Chloe promises, “We’ll dance!’
