The Line
The Line was a one day participatory event at Paris College of Art, transforming the building in to a ‘walk-in line drawing’.
28th March 2015
The ground floor space at Paris College of Art – the gallery, garden and entrance way was transformed into a ‘walk-in line drawing’.
Using colored tape, wool, string, threads, and drawn lines students created environments for particpants to draw in and from.
Guests were invited to take part in activites that ran simultaneouly throughout the day: digital drawings projected onto the gallery wall, life drawing from a model who suspended himself from ropes in the garden, and experiments with knitted line.
Particpants made drawings on everything from paper to the large glass windows and black board wall.

Feedback from Participants
“It was just a great possibility to draw, I’m neither an art student yet nor I can investigate in expensive drawing classes. Here in Paris I miss places like where people can come together for FREE and have space to draw.
For me it was just a great day, I spend it with doing what I love, having a model and being in an environment which is motivating and productive. The atmosphere was great and the little installations on the wall/all around were very inspiring.”
“I completely forgot about the outside world for a few hours and had nothing to concentrate on except being in that environment”
“I loved the opportunity to be there as a public person, and the creativity and welcomeness was wonderful.”
